Tell us a little about yourself.

I had a friend tell me about Second Life almost 9 yrs ago. My friend said you have to check it out…like a chatroom crossed with playing Barbies. I checked it out and been here ever since. 🙂

It takes a lot of time and energy to make a big event like this happen. How did you became involved?

My first experience with MSABC was last year at a dinner in Second Life called “Twosomes for Tatas”. You paid a donation for a great dining experience with entertainment. It was a lot of fun!

This July, Sting and Random asked if I would be interested in being the Chair for Strides. I said yes and here I am. It’s a great experience!

Do you have a personal reason as to why you participate in Stride?

I stride for victory in honor of my Mom. She is a two time breast cancer survivor. The last battle she had was back in 2013/2014. It was rough seeing her go through it all again and this time a bit harder on her because it was not caught as early. She ended up having a mastectomy.  The burns from radiation was pretty bad for her and it was difficult with her other health issues.

Several members of both sides of my family have dealt with breast cancer as well. I’ve also lost an Aunt and a great Aunt to breast cancer.  You could say I stride for me as well as we never know what the future holds.

Is there anything you would like to add?   Actually yes,

For those out there that only Relay because it is for all cancers
or only donate to certain cancer type of cancers fundraisers
or  say my favorite – “ACS is only a USA cancer group”…
Wake up!!!
If there is a breakthrough in one cancer, it leads us one step closer to a cure for

ALL Cancers, EVERYWHERE!!!!!
DONATE, we could be just dollars away from the next big breakthrough.

Shout out to everyone on Strides Committee.  Thanks for all the hard work you are doing!
To my close friends, thanks for putting up  with my crazy Second Life sometimes.
Love you all.  🙂
